2013 Nissan Altima Offers Innovative Technology in a Bold, All-New Design

The completely redesigned 2013 Nissan Altima, available now at Conicelli Nissan in Conshohocken, PA, is more than just new and improved, it's truly evolution on the edge!

Conicelli Nissan's biggest-selling model has taken a leap into the future. When it comes to the innovations and advanced technology behind the ground-up, totally new 2013 Nissan Altima design, some things might be considered evolutionary. Take the body, the engines, transmission, suspension, steering, seats, the instrument panel, navigation system, music connection, armrest, windshield wipers, and tire pressure monitoring system. The previous generation Altima had them. This generation does, too.

Call 1-888-Conicelli to set up your test-drive!
Not a big deal. Until you take a little closer look. Call it evolution on the edge. Or evolution to the extreme. Or simply call it a design that is about to revolutionize what people think about Altima – and what a mid-size sedan can be.

Consider:

● A body, that while clearly recognizable as an Altima, is lighter, more rigid and cuts a cleaner path through the wind
● A 2.5-liter inline 4-cylnder engine that is lighter, stronger, quicker and more fuel-efficient (combined with the new transmission design) than the previous 2.5-liter design
● A next-generation Xtronic CVT® that takes Nissan's two decades of Continuously Variable Transmission leadership into a new dimension of smooth operation and fuel efficiency
● A new, refined rear multi-link suspension that could be at home on a premium European sports sedan
● A hybrid power steering system that combines the feel of a traditional hydraulic box with the efficiency of modern electric control
● Front seats that take their inspiration from outer space technology – for out-of-segment comfort
● An intuitive 3D-effect information display that's very easy to read
● Navigation that's never outdated
● A Pandora® music connection
● Windshield wipers that actually help you avoid tickets
● And a tire pressure monitoring system that tells you when your tires are full

Of course, when considering an Altima that is "new and improved," you also need to consider the "new and never available before."  For example, an advanced RearView Monitor camera that detects four views is utilized to bring Altima into premium sedan territory with available Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Moving Object Detection (MOD).

iPhone 4 Nissan Leaf's Exclusive Contest Starts July 1st!!!

Apple CEO Steve Jobs "officially" revealed the new fourth-generation iPhone today at the Apple World Wide Developers Conference. The Nissan Leaf played a small part in his demonstration of Apple's new iAd mobile advertising platform. Nissan will be using the iAd system to promote its upcoming electric car with some cool interactive features.
The ad begins with a small banner that shows up at the bottom of the iPhone screen. iPhone users can tap the banner to expand the ad to full screen where they will find the Leaf on a pedestal. A swipe across the screen will spin the pedestal to reveal different features of the car. One of the pages allows users to register for the Leaf reservation list and even enter an iAd-exclusive contest to win a Leaf.
Users will be able to check out the ad on iPhones, iPod touches and iPads after it goes live on July 1.

Coming Soon: The All New 2011 Nissan Murano Converible!!!

It’s that time of the year again when everyone wants to drop the top and head to the shore. A vehicle that performs as awesome as it looks and give you a sunburn at the same time while cruising down the Garden State Expressway to your favorite shore point destination.
What if you have a big family and a lot of luggage to bring down with you? Don’t worry…now you can have your cake and eat it too! Nissan is engineering an SUV convertible. The popular Murano, which has been in production since 2003, has just got a complete makeover in 2009. This will be the markets only four door convertible besides the Jeep Wrangler Limited.
Nissan Murano Convertible will be targeted at empty-nesters who need room to carry the grandkids, but still want something fun. Nissan is sticking with a more traditional soft top to keep weight down. Less heft should help keep fuel economy similar to the Murano's current 21 mpg combined city/highway rating, as the 265-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) used in the 2009 Murano is expected to remain. Front- or all-wheel drive is expected to be available.

Please comment below and let us know what you think of the new convertible in Nissan's lineup.

Renault-Nissan Joins Forces with Daimler!!

Daimler AG and the Renault-Nissan alliance officially has been signed and the three automakers will collaborate on future products and will exchange shares in each other’s companies. Daimler has been looking for a partner to help spread the costs of small car development for years.
Under the signed agreement, Daimler will hold a 3.1-percent stake in Renault-Nissan and the existing alliance partners will hold the exact stake in the German company. They will develop a combined platform that will be used as the basis for the next generations of the Renault Twingo and Smart cars, including an all new four-seater. The expected launch date of these new vehicles will be 2013 and the current Smart factory in France will continue building the two-seat version. All three vehicles will be available from launch in gas, diesel and electric drive variants.
Powertrains will also be shared for other models between the three automakers. Renault-Nissan will provide small gas and diesel engines to Daimler for use in its smaller cars, including presumably the next generation A, B and even C-Class Mercedes-Benz models. Daimler will provide some of its engines to Nissan for use in some Infiniti models. The partners will also collaborate on light commercial vehicles, with Renault providing a new entry-level van to be sold as a Mercedes.
